visual arts in islamic context

introduction
For the final project , i have chosen the option of choosing a dynasity and doing a piece of artwork using their styliastic points and elements. Below are two pictures from two different Dynastys that i have researched.
Mihrab in Mosque Baghdad, Iraq Abassids Dynasty (750- 1258) A mihrab is a niche in the wall of a mosque ( facing Mecca) . Most Mosques in the Abassids dynasty had a mihrab. This marble mihrab has been removed from its original mosque and is now found in the Baghdad Islamic Museum. Samarra style is significant in abassids dynasity as well as geometric and pseudo-vegetal forms. Ben Youssef Madrasa Marakech, Morocco Almoravids & Almowahids Dynasty (1062- 1269) College named after Sultan Ali ibn Yousef. Beautiful detailed decorations and richly carved in cedar, marble and stucco. Style characteristics: extensive use of polybed arches, surfaces ornamented with stucco carved with vegetal ornament and epigraphy and the use of muqarnas to decovrate domes and ceilings. Carvings contained no representations of human nor animals.

development of idea
I combined elements from different dynasties and then came up with this design for my jewelery piece
