SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS To use PowerStation, your computer must meet the following minimum requirements: Operating Systems & Software Requirements Microsoft Windows with Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher 98 (Second Edition) NT 4.0 (Service Pack 6 or higher) 2000 (Service Pack 2 or higher) Me XP Minimum PC Requirements Intel Pentium II 128 MB of RAM 500 MB available hard drive space 1024x768 resolution Parallel Port (stand-alone licensing only) Recommended PC Configuration Intel Pentium IV or higher 512 MB of RAM 2 GB hard disk 21" monitor with 1024x768 resolution Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher Parallel Port (stand-alone licensing only) Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or XP Professional 2. SECURITY KEY To run this Release of PowerStation, you must have a valid ETAP security key installed on your computer. The program detects the presence of the security key and will not run unless the security key is present. PowerStation requires the use of a key formatted for PowerStation. PowerStation detects whether the key has been formatted for ETAP DOS only, not PowerStation, and will display an appropriate message. If you receive such a message, contact OTI for an appropriately formatted key. The PowerStation setup program adds the following files and registry entries to your computer to detect the security key: Windows NT/2000/XP Files: The setup.exe program will add two files to your SYSTEM\DRIVERS directory, they are: 1. DS1410D.SYS which is neccessary for PowerStation to read the Security Key. 2. DOWNTVDD.DLL which is neccessary for 16 bit applications (ETAP DOS & PowerPlot) to read the Security Key. Registry Entries:

1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDriv ers values: VDD:REG_MULTI_SZ:C:\WINNT\System32\DRIVERS\DOWNTVDD.DLL 2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\\Services\DS1410D values: ErrorControl:REG_DWORD:0x1 Group:REG_SZ:Extended Base Start: REG_DWORD:0x2 Tag:REG_DWORD:0x2 Type:REG_DWORD:0x1 Windows98 SE/Me The setup.exe program adds one file to your SYSTEM directory. This file is VSAUTHD.386. To install the security key, attach the key to the parallel port (printer port) on the back of your computer. You can connect your printer cable to the back of the security key. Printing should be unaffected by the security key.
