Students need to have basic understanding of place values and know how unit blocks work

Formative :Students will be asked to show examples of problems asked or problems on worksheet Summative (of learning): Student will be required to turn in sheet with answers

For this lesson I will be using unit blocks and possibly play money. I will also need to have netbooks which should already be in the classroom Worksheet

Classroom will be set up in same fashion as always with chairs in sets of two How will your classroom be set up for this lesson? III. Students will work completing worksheet and using unit blocks or money to solve problems asked

Students will have to work through worksheet completing assignments

Teacher will review questions asked and allow students to turn in the assignment and take out netbooks

Students will finish up assignment check answers and get netbooks out

Students will be allowed to use netbooks and play Math games

Students will be able to play Math games which will allow them to understand information deeper

Have students clean up and put everything away

Have students put away netbooks and prepare everything to go back to class

(Write this after teaching the lesson, if you had a chance to teach it. If you did not teach this lesson, focus on the process of preparing the lesson.) Fridays lesson seemed to flow smoothly! Everything went as planned the students really worked hard on the worksheets and the math games seemed to help the students cement the concept into their brain. This also completed the first bit about place values and on Monday the students move on to addition and subtraction of place values. Next time I might have a worksheet that has slightly harder math problems but the sheet I had was fine.
