FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 26, 2013 Julia Walsh of Frack Action issued this response to the League

of Conservation Voters Education Funds statement on Ed Cox: Is this a statement from Ed Cox in support of himself? A statement from the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund in support of Ed Cox, when Ed Cox is the Chair of the Board of Directors of the same organization, is meaningless. The League of Conservation Voters needs to acknowledge Cox's blatant pro-fracking financial and political conflicts of interest with his position and remove him. Additionally, the League of Conservation Voters cannot reasonably respect the record of someone who serves on the board of a fracking company with its own record - a record number of spills in Colorado in 2010 and 2011 - 126, 81 of which affected groundwater, 6 of which affected surface water, plus waiting nearly 8 months to report dangerous hydrogen sulfide in wells, which posed serious health risks to workers and anyone living near them.
