Patients Profile A case of LCR, 30 years old, male, single, Roman Catholic, from Danao City, Cebu; admitted

for the first time at Vicente sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) on August 18, 2013 at 2:29 AM due to intolerable abdominal pain associated with episodes of vomiting. After medical examination, client was diagnosed with Acute Abdomen Probably Secondary to Perforated Peptic Ulcer Disease and was proposed to undergo surgery. Post surgical diagnosis is Acute Abdomen Secondary to Ileal Perforation Probably Secondary to Typhoid Ileitis. By the age of 8 years old client was diagnosed Hepatitis A but did not seek medical treatment. He consulted to an arbularyo and he stated that he was cured. Client was a smoker and alcoholic since he was 12 years old but decided to quit at the age of 28 years old when he was admitted due to Pneumonia. One year prior to admission client claimed to have started feelings of abdominal pain and vomiting but was relieved by Mefenamic acid, and Buscopan. Patient tolerated the condition and did not seek consultation. A day prior to admission client experienced progression of symptoms such as intolerable pain at abdominal area and vomiting that is not relieved by Mefenamic acid, food intake and Buscopan. Client vomited three times with food previously eaten. Persistence of symptoms prompted client for consultation at VSMMC.
