The teacher gives a request, waits 10 seconds, and marks Yes or No to indicate whether or not the student started the requested behavior. It is important (1) not to repeat the request, (2) not to reward the student with deals for compliance, (3) to act natural after the request, and (4) to wait the full 10 seconds before acting or repeating the request. 1. Please sit down. 2. Line up at the door. 3. Put your books away. 4. Bring your assignment to my desk. 5. Be quiet. 6. Look at me. 7. Come here. 8. Get out a pencil and paper. 9. Write your name on the paper. 10. Get busy on your assignment. 11. Walk. 12. Look up front. 13. Come inside the room. 14. Sit down. 15. Go to your desk. 16. Give me the pencil (or other object). 17. Sit up. 18. Go to (place). 19. Pick up the (item).
