Progress Memo I began planning my literacy memoir by getting ideas from my peers in class. While in class I began to think of my literacy experiences as a child and up to this point. One way I am planning is by using graphic organizers, or bubble charts. Inside the bubble is the literacy e ent. On the outside is the significance of the e ent and details that may be useful. I ha e not completed that much research. I used the class discussion about literacy and literacy e ents as a starting point to gather ideas about others! experiences and relate them to mine. I also researched literacy e ents to see if there were any additional e ents that I could ha e included in my paper. I ha e not yet started the writing process. "owe er, I ha e organized my brainstorming thoughts into graphic organizers. I ha e chosen three significant literacy e ents to represent in my memoir. #hey are nursery rhymes that I listened to as a child, cartoons that I watched as a child, and social media. In my paper I plan to explain and analyze the importance of these e ents and express how these experiences ha e impacted my literacy. I ha e realized that I am not a perfect writer, by no means. I am aware that editing will need to be done to help perfect my paper and to help me impro e my writing skills. I plan on getting ad ice from my peers. $lso, I need to realize that it is okay to accept ad ice from others. $s of right now I am not confused. I understand what it being asked of me.
