Once teachers have assessed each student, they will move to their respective centers. Each center will be manned by an aide or teacher to instruct and to determine content acquisition. The second center will be a coin sort activity. The students will be asked to locate a specific coin (penny, nickel, dime, or quarter) from a jar. Once they have located it, they will be place it into the corresponding labeled Dixie cup. Once mastered, they will move on. The third center will be a coin identification foldable. Students will follow directions with the assistance of the teacher to complete. Once presumed mastered, they will move to the next center. The last center will be a game played between a facilitator and a student. It is similar to War and is good for comparing and contrasting. The extension of the fourth center will lend itself into monetary value for next weeks lesson.
