    Discuss statements 1-8 with a partner. What do you think? 1. Schools teach children how to control their impulses and think ahead. 2. By the time a typical American boy is 21 he has spent at least 10,000 hours playing video games alone and watching pornography. 3. Traditional classrooms are no longer appropriate for teaching teenagers today because the pupils are expected to be passive. 4. Knowing something is bad for you should be enough to stop you doing it. 5. Waiting for things is one of the most frustrating situations. 6. Most very busy people would like to have more time to spend with their family and friends. 7. Family meals are an essential part of creating family values. 8.
