How can we bring in notions of community engagement to FirstYear Composition so that students can ethically and responsibly connect to the community around them?

The do-gooders from Syracuse University, right? Theyre intellectuals, right? Many of them are too sophisticated to understand the basics. They dont understand us ( Lombardo 70).
