1937 Incorporation of Colgate-Palmolive India Pvt. Ltd. and the first Colgate Dental Cream toothpaste was introduced.

. 1949 Colgate toothpowder launched for the rural masses. 1976 Introduction of the Global Oral Care awareness program- Young India, that taught primary school children the importance of good oral hygiene. This was later rechristened as Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Future. 1990 Colgate Gel toothpaste was launched. 1993 The Most Technologically Advanced (as was advertised)- Colgate Total was launched. 1994 Colgate-Palmolive acquires the Cibaca Brand. 1996 For the First time in India Colgate Pharmaceutical products was launched. 2004 For the first time again, for an entire month Oral Health Month in association with the Indian Dental Association (IDA) offering free dental check up to increase awareness for good dental hygiene practices.

2005 The brand new Colgate Active Salt toothpaste with unique formulation was launched. 2006 Again a brand new Colgate Max Fresh Gel toothpaste was introduced with the sparkling dissolvable cooling crystals signifying Fresher Breath.

2007 Colgate entered the Guinness World Records with 1,77003 students from 386 schools in 22 cities brushing their teeth on the same day, same time. They called this event as the Colgate Brush-Up Challenge. 2010 Yet Again, they made through the Guinness World Records by providing dental check ups to 66,322 children, across multiple location across India on the same, same time. 2011 Another Brand New toothpaste Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief for sensitive teeth was launched. 2012 Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Future reaches 105 million primary schools since its inception.
