The Rise and Fall and Rise of Zahi Hawass Summary (150 to 300 words) The article tells the success and downfall of Zahi Hawas who is a worldwide archaeologist from Egypt. Hawas, now away from Egypts government, writes books and articles about Egyptian history and hopes to return to Egypts government to help. Hawas has lived his best moments within Hosni Mubarak mandate. He worked in many important governments positions like director of Giza and Saqqara and Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities. In addition he made reality television series on the History Channel, gave speech around the world and a traveling exhibition. As a result he became famous and was awarded by The National Geographic Society. But Hawass downfall began with the revolution against Mubaraks government, he was accused of corruption and another crimes. Consequently, Hawas lost his job and his well know reputation. Not only it was a fall for Hawas but also for Egyptian tourism that he ruled. Egyptian tourism went down, lost funds and preservations work stopped. Nowadays he lives in an apartment in Cairo with his assistant and a protg. He spent his time doing what most like him that is write and despite all his critics or problems that his works in government brought him, he wants to help Egyptian tourism to overcome this bad moment and be again successful.

Personal Opinion (Min. 50 words for 150-word summaries | Min. 100 words for 300-word summaries) Although It seems to me that Hawas is a little arrogant and bad tempered, he would be back to Egyptian tourism. He is wise and a good manager and in the past did good things for Egyptian tourism, a lot of important people admit that. So I think in order to bring prosperity to Egyptian tourim again, Morsis government should bring back Hawas or at least ask him advice.
