I chose this because I thought it was a very effective way to present my information. I had too much information to share for me to use a poster. Slide 3: Stages in developing Visual Deciding on a genera Choosing a content Find content and pictures Choose the layout I wanted Figure out how to use scribus Put it all together Slide 4: Finding Images & Content I found the content for my brochure on the ISU website on the Live Green! Initiative homepage. Most of my images were taken from websites on the internet (using google images). I also got images from the Live Green homepage. Slide 5: Choosing Information I knew that I didnt want to make it too text heavy. I wanted to keep the reader interested. I did this by breaking up the text with pictures and putting some of my info as bulleted points. Slide 6: Pattern Selection I chose a vertical direction because I felt that it helped to guide the reader more effectively through the brochure.

Slide 7: Organization of Text I chose to organize my text similarly to the way you would a paper. I used interesting facts and statistics to draw in the reader. The middle consists of general information. The ending is designed to leave a lasting impression for the reader. Slide 8: Font Style I chose a font that was moderate in size and easy to read. Slide 9: Color Scheme I kept it pretty simple with my color scheme. I chose to use green as a background because I thought this helped portray the goals and image of the organization.
