The Berlin Wall The Berlin Wall separated the East and West side of Berlin.

It separated some people from their family. The Berlin Wall was located in the middle of East and West Berlin, Germany. The Berlin Wall was built in August 1861. The wall was built to separate East and West Berlin. I have been studying Germany in my Global Studies class and saw a black and white photo of the Berlin Wall In the photo, a little girl about 3 years old that is facing the wall and holding a teddy bear in her right hand. This little girl is standing in dirt. She is reaching into a rectangular door with her left hand that used to be her house. Her house was cemented up and became part of the wall. The little girl was wearing a little dress with a floral like pattern; she had dressy shoes that had socks with lace coming over the top, she has long curly blond hair that goes a little past her shoulder. The wall has columns that have darker colored bricks then the rest of the wall they come all the way to the ground; those columns are the windows of the little girls house. The wall is made out of very small bricks that were placed on with cement. The wall is about 10 feet tall. In this paragraph, you have learned a whole lot about the Berlin Wall. I think that the wall was incredible and interesting. The wall meant a lot to me. I think it sad that so many families were separated.
