Road Safety refers to some methods and measures to reduce the risk of the road users being killed

or injured. The number of road accidents increase each year. So every year, alert and awareness campaigns on the importance of respecting safety rules are organized for motorists, motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians. The drivers of cars and motorcycles must: Respect the maximum speed limits; Be careful when overtaking another car; Make regular stops along the trip;

It is imperative that all vehicle occupants wear seatbelts or helmets;

The drivers shouldnt: Drink alcoholic drinks; Eat heavy meals; Talk on the phone; Perform dangerous manoeuvres; Drive sleepy; Exceed the speed limit; Disrespect the signs;

The distance of road safety corresponds to the addiction of the reaction distance distance travelled by the vehicle since from the moment when the driver sees the obstacle until he reacts and the stopping distance distance travelled by the vehicle since from the moment when the driver reacts until he immobilises the car.

When the driver cant avoid an obstacle, a collision happens. This force depends on various factors, such as: the collision time, the mass and the velocity speed of the car vehicle. The greater is the force, the greater are is the damage of the vehicle and especially of its occupants. There are safety devices that reduce the collision force, such as: seatbelts, airbags and helmets.
