Dance Camera West is a dance media film festival in Los Angeles Non-profit organization that promotes and develops the art of dance media

DCW connects diverse cultures and environments through its exploration of dance on screen They showcase many styles of dance including modern dance, post modern dance, world dance, tap dance, dance theatre, ballet, hip-hop and more

DCWs dance film festival showcases the talent of internationally recognized artists like Paris Opera Ballet, Jiri Kylian, and Nederlands Dans Theatre, Pilobolus, Merce Cunningham and more The festival has presented over 1,000 international dance films from 47 countries to 25,000 individuals throughout Greater Los Angeles DCW is known internationally as the leading presenter of danceinspired

Dance Camera West is collaborating with LAUSDs Arts in Education in order to provide dance media programming in local schools DCW began presenting dance media programs to its students in the Fall of 2008 Emeritus Director Lynette Kessler has been appointed to the Los Angeles Unified School Districts Media Arts Advisory Committee

DCW was named one of the most affordable dance tickets by the LA Times Grover Dale of Answers for Dancers calls Dance Camera West the best thing to happen to Los Angeles dance in 20 years LA Magazine selected the 2008 June festival as Pick of the Moth Dance Magazine voted DCW one of Top 20 to Watch for two years running
