RMIT Vietnam to celebrate unique marriage of fashion and marketing

RMIT University Vietnam will unleash the enterprising potential of Vietnamese fashionistas with its pioneering fashion marketing program to be launched in this October. The Bachelor of Fashion and Textile Merchandising program will equip students with strategic vision, global mindset and hands-on skills to be able to assume many different roles in one of the most fastgrowing fields in the world fashion marketing. Nguyen Huu Phung, CEO of NinoMaxx Vietnam, believes that professional fashion entrepreneurs will complete the missing pieces of the industrys mosaic. In this burgeoning phase, the industry is starving for not only cool collections, but also smart strategies to shift it to a new height, he contended. The role of fashion traders, therefore, is just as crucial as that of designers. Robyn McCutchan, Director of Marketing at RMIT Vietnam, claims that the program will offer students an open door of opportunity. This bachelor degree is crafted particularly for those who wish to mix their passions for the creative industries and business, she said. Graduates from this program can be in charge of various managerial positions, including fashion retailers, brand managers, market researchers and textile traders just to name a few. Many high school students are fascinated to hear about the brand-new launch of this brand-new program. Ive been dreaming for my whole life about founding a world-class fashion brand, but sadly, there were purely business or fashion design courses available in Ho Chi Minh City, said Lai Thanh Son, a twelfthgrader from Tran Dai Nghia high school for the gifted. And now, thanks to the timely launch of this innovative program, I can get the best of both worlds becoming a trendsetter is no longer no go to me!

The first semester of this program will take place at RMIT Saigon South campus in this October. RMITs new fashion marketing program, with multinational teaching staff, will accelerate the development of Vietnamese fashion industry before long.
