DirecBass 2.0 FREE is one of the 4 patches included in DirectBass 2.0 full for Kontakt 2 or 3.

it is a reduced version of the Mid+Neck FULL Patch. DirectBass FREE is 16Bit 44Khz instead of 24/96, it has less samples, less layers and less key switches. It doesn't have the midifiles, the presets library, the special patches, the video guide and the other 3 pickup positions. DirectBass FREE has only one articulation ( Hammer-ons ) in E Flat 1 and it is mapped between the velocity range 125-127. Why key switches play only at 126-127 velocity range? Because it allows for combined playing. This system allows you to play straight passages with certain articulations being introduced with harder velocities. At low velocities you are able to change key switches without affecting what you are playing. So in order to play the articolation press E flat 1 then play hard to reach the velocity range 125-127. if you use a full weighted master keyboard such as el piano or you are pressing to hard to play the articulation so you need to set the velocity as "soft" in order to play key swicthes or open the Kontakt editor and in the script page increase the velocity offset.

To load the patch Load kontakt and load the patch called "DirectBassFREE.nkm" located in the DirectBass 2.0 FREE folder.
