Showcasing presentations by nine scholars who are contributing essays to a new book titled, Alabama Women: Their Lives & Times. Attendees will gain valuable resources for incorporating womens history into the classroom and have the opportunity to play a formative role in the development of a companion series of lesson plans that will accompany the book. The symposium is composed of four one-hour sessions, each focused around a particular period in Alabama history.
