    ALL AREA, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL APPLICTIONS ARE DUE BY APRIL 1 OF THE CALENDAR YEAR. Council Leadership Award recommendations are to be sent to the local council office. Area Leadership Award recommendations are to be sent to Area Venturing Advisors, and recipients names and dates awards were given should be emailed to program.content@scouting.org.     As of January 1, 2012, these VLA are only awarded to youth.
