INTRODUCTION

The African slave trade consisted of many different components, The people involved, merchandise and transportation. During this presentation we will be showing you the harsh ways Africans were treated by the Europeans, Arabs and their own brothers and sisters. This is Slavers and The Enslaved. (European, Arab, African,The Middle Passage.)

The Middle Passage

The middle passage is the name given to a horrifying and dehumanizing journey taken by enslaved Africans to the Americas.

SLAVERS (ships)

Slave ships, also known as portable prisons had horrible living conditions. Hundreds of slaves would be forced to live, shit and piss where they slept.

Slavers Continued
Some were specifically for carrying slaves, others were modified for carrying other cargo other than slaves; because the ships were modified the hatches were smaller and more suffocating that regular slave ships.
