HOW TO USE A COMPASS WHEN THE BEARING IS GIVEN

1) First, put the compass on a flat surface such as on your palm. 2) Then, turn the dial until the RED NEEDLE is overlapping at the ORIENTING ARROW which is inside the housing.

3) After that, turn the BASEPLATE until INDEX POINTER shows the desired bearing such as 120o , 130o and 240o 4) Then,the DIRECTION-OF-TRAVEL ARROW will show the direction that you need to move.
