Turkmenistan is located in Central Asia. Turkmenistan is Bordered by Afghanistan Kazakhstan and Iran.

The Turkmenistan flag has a picture of 5 carpets going down the side of it. They all stand for the 5 five main tribes, and the green in the back is meant to be the fields in Turkmenistan. The flag was founded on December 12th 1995.

The red and blue flag is the old flag of Turkmenistan.

In Turkmenistan there have been many artifacts found that are believed to be up to 8000 years old

Turkmenistan was once part of the ancient Persian Empire

Turkmen people are famous for the rugs they make called Gillams.

Traditionally Turkmen were a large black hat that resembles an afro.

Again this dish is noodles meat and carrots a very common dish in Turkmenistan.

This dish has meat noodle and potatoes. In Turkmenistan they tend to eat a lot of potatoes and noodles with many dishes.

This dish is called Pilmen. It is tortellini's and they get broiled or fried. A lot of foods in Turkmenistan are broiled or fried.
