Guide to Tumblr

To set up your own account, go to: http://www.tumblr.com and select “Sign up”.

To log out of your Tumblr, go to Account on the top right hand side and select, “log
out”.

Deleting an account http://www.tumblr.com/account/delete

Once you sign in, customize your blog at http://www.tumblr.com/customize. Tabs:

Info (change title, description, photo, url), Theme (choose a free theme);
Appearance (ignore for now), Feeds (ignore for now), Advanced (select the box
“open links in a new window”). Remember to save changes!

How to post

Go to your Dashboard. There you select whether you want to text, upload a photo,
quote someone, send a link, embed a chat, upload an audio file, and embed or link
to a video.

You can call in a post to 1.866.584.6757. Remember to enter your telephone

number here first before you call in an audio post (scroll all the way down the page
to enter #): http://www.tumblr.com/goodies

You can email a post. Go to Account to get your private email address and then
send an email through your preferred email program.

Keep your settings simple. Go to Preferences. http://www.tumblr.com/settings

Please do not follow anyone for now. Wait till the end of the semester.

Email me your Tumblr url.
