Topology: ISP ADSL Modem/Cable Modem DIR-615/655 PC/Laptop/MAC Book Please make it sure: 1. From wall (Phone line cable/Cable TV/Coaxial) is connect properly hard wire to ADSL/Cable modem. 2. From ADSL/Cable modem connect properly hard wire using ETHERNET/LAN cable to WAN (Internet) port of your router DIR-615/655
**NOTE: If the modem has USB connection make sure that it is NOT connected to any computers via the USB cable and that the modem is switched to Ethernet (not USB). Only the modem's Ethernet port should be connected to the router's WAN (INTERNET) port. **
3. And from DIR-615/655 any other LAN port hard wire connects properly to your PC using other set ETHERNET/LAN cable. (Please use cable from DLink package).

Save file the .bin or .dlf (.zip, rar) file you downloaded to your desktop or your local hard drive. If you download .zip or .rar you need extract the file the .bin file. If you do not have program to open the .zip and .rar you might download from their website; WinZIP: http://www.winzip.com/downwz.htm WinRAR: http://www.win-rar.com/download.html
Step 2 Open your Internet Browser or Explorer/IE. Step 3 Log into your router (DIR-615/655) by typing in its IP address (in most cases the default IP is http://192.168.0.1) and enter. ** Note: That you do not have to be on the Internet in order to access this address because you are just connecting to your router's address. **
You will see the DLink Configuration (DIR-615/655) page at this part. And please specify username and password for your router, default is admin and password is blank (nothing). Internet Explorer or Netscape and enter the IP address of your router (192.168.0.1). Step 4 Click on the TOOLS tab and then click on FIRMWARE on the left side menu. Click on the Browse button and browse to the .bin (or .dlf) file you downloaded in on Step 1.
