Presentation of Agenda Items for the January 20, 2014 Regular Monthly Public Meeting: A. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the following policies, second reading: Policy 806 Child/Student Abuse B. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Ashley Brennans request for unpaid Family Medical Leave for the purpose of child rearing from approximately February 24, 2014 through April 4, 2014. Ms. Brennan is a learning support teacher at the Octorara Elementary School. C. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the Opt Out Resolution for the 2014-2015 budget process. D. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the 2014-2015 school calendar. Resignation Approvals: E. That the Octorara Board of School Directors accept the resignation of Ms. Kathryn Zimath as a cafeteria employee at the Octorara Jr. High School effective December 13, 2013. (Hired January 21, 2013) F. That the Octorara Board of School Directors accept, with regret, the resignation of Ms. Melissa Rapp as a lunch/playground supervisor at the Octorara Intermediate School effective December 31, 2013. (Hired August 25, 2008) Hiring Approvals: G. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Dawn Kimberling as a long term substitute sixth grade teacher at the Octorara Intermediate School effective approximately February 12, 2014 through March 28, 2104. Ms. Kimberlingss rate will be $140 per day. (Replacing Ashley Stern who will be on child rearing leave.

Ms. Kimberling is currently a Title I math assistant at the Octorara Intermediate School.) H. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Megan Connolly as a long term substitute learning support teacher at the Octorara Elementary School effective approximately February 21, 2014 through April 4, 2014. Ms. Connollys rate will be $140 per day. (Replacing Ashley Brennan who will be on child rearing leave. Ms. Connolly is currently a Title I ESL assistant at the Octorara Primary Learning Center and Elementary Schools.) I. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Jodi Johnson as a long term substitute learning support teacher at the Octorara Elementary School effective approximately February 2, 2014 through April 22, 2014. Ms. Johnsons rate will be $140 per day. (Replacing Fallon Manchin who will be on child rearing leave. Ms. Johnson is currently a long term substitute instructional assistant at the Octorara Elementary School.)

J. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Cynthia Waters as an instructional assistant at the Octorara Jr. High School effective December 11, 2013 pending completion of employee related documents required by law and the District. Ms. Waters rate will be $11.65 per hour. (Replacing Ben Creighton who resigned.) K. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve Ms. Stephanie Halsey as a cafeteria team worker at the Octorara Elementary School effective December 16, 2013 pending completion of employee related documents required by law and the District. Ms. Halseys rate will be $8.50 per hour. (Replacing Linda Brett who resigned.) L. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the following substitute teachers for the 2013-2014 school year: Ian Harding, Health/PE Gabrielle Panasiewicz, History M. That the Octorara Board of School Directors approve the following substitute support staff for the 2013-2014 school year: Barbara Hoopes, Cafeteria Julie Stauffer, Cafeteria 8.
