Important Information For Students

All the students seeking fresh Registration /Re-Registration have to fill the below Proforma. It must be noted that no fresh registration will be done unless the undertaking duly signed in the prescribed Proforma and submitted at the time of Registration.

UNDERTAKING

A Pass in Section A and Section B of Associate Membership examination of The Aeronautical Society of India was recognized at par with a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from an Indian University for purposes of recruitment to superior posts and services under the Central government vide Ministry of Education, Govt. Of India, letter no. F.18-1/78-T-7 dated 208-1978. That the Ministry of Human Resource Development vide OM dated 6.12.2012 sought to restrict the said equivalence to students enrolled up till 31.05.2013 only. The said OM dated 6.12.2012 has been assailed by The Aeronautical Society of India, by filing a writ petition (bearing no WP(C) 4830/2013) before the Honble Delhi High Court. As such the legality of the OM dated 6.12.2012 is pending consideration before the Honble Delhi High Court in a batch of writ petitions filed by various institutions as also the WP(C) 4830/2013 filed by The Aeronautical Society of India. That during the pendency of the issue of legality of the said OM dated 6.12.2012 the Honble Court has been pleased to stay the operation of the said OM dated 6.12.2012 with regards to the deadline dated 31.05.2013. However, in terms of the orders passed by the Honble Court all admissions made post 31-052013, will be subject to the final orders that will be passed in the said writ petition. I have submitted my application for Registration on .. I have read and understood the above disclaimer made by The Aeronautical Society of India qua the pendency of the writ petition bearing no WP(C) 4830/2013. I understand that in my case equivalence to a Degree in Aeronautical Engineering will be subject to the final orders which will be passed in the Writ Petition.
