An integer is a whole negative or positive real number (ie.no decimals or fractions) while a floating point number is a real number that contains decimals and can cause issues in calculations. 5. What is the difference between formats and conventions? Formats refer to the way information is presented in the spread while conventions refer to the standard or accepted way information is presented in a spreadsheet.
