Meat Dress I think that the Meat Dress is a form of art because it allows the artists to express their

opinions about the decaying and rotting nature of objects and ideas around them. The Meat Dress portrays decomposition of a human body. The fact that it needs to be re-sewn from new meat every time it is displayed shows the decaying nature of life and flesh. This also reminds the observer of their ever-aging bodies. The meat rots and loses its colour in front of the audience, dramatically showing how our bodies, in the form of flesh, decompose with time. The main reason people object this art is because they consider life too sacred to be used in this manner. This art, in fact, is a display of life itself. If one considers the Meat Dress to be an insult on the sacred nature of life, then any art that uses trees, such as wood carvings, and even a small drawing on a piece of paper, should not be considered art.
