Mark Lunsford: Let Me Tell You Who David Jolly Really Is

In Wake of Democrats Misleading Attacks on David Jolly, Lunsford Speaks on Pro Bono Work Clearwater, Fla. - On the heels of polling data showing Alex Sink trailing David Jolly in the race for Floridas Congressional District 13, Alex Sink and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) are becoming increasingly nervous and trying to turn the focus of this race away from their tax-and-spend record, and support of Obamacare. In their latest quest to confuse and mislead the voters of Congressional District 13, Alex Sink and her Washington democratic machine are distorting David Jollys professional resume, using scare tactics and innuendo to gain support for her candidacy. For two weeks, I have watched the DCCC and Alex Sink lie about who David is and what type of work he did when he traveled to D.C. Well, enough is enough, said Mark Lunsford, whose 9-year-old daughter was killed in 2005 by a child predator. Lunsford enlisted David Jolly to help get funding from Congress for the U.S. Marshals Service to track and apprehend sex offenders. I met David Jolly at the airport years ago when he approached me to shake my hand, continued Lunsford. When I told him I was having trouble in Washington to get funding for the Marshals Service, he offered to help, for free. David helped secure funding for the Marshals Service - he helped me when no one else would and he wanted nothing in return. So, when I see commercials and articles in the paper with accusations of what kind of work David did, I have to speak up because I know who David Jolly really is. He is a good man, a hardworking man, a friend and an advocate for those in need. And he gets things done in Washington, for all of us. And yes, that should make Alex Sink and the Democrats in Washington nervous, because hes the right person for this job, concluded Lunsford. Florida Congressional District 13 was represented by the late Congressman Bill Young, who had served in the U.S. House of Representatives since 1971 before passing away on October 18, 2013. The special general election to fill the congressional seat for Florida District 13 will be held on March 11, 2014. Since announcing his campaign, Jolly has received the support of a growing list of local, regional and national endorsers of his bid for Floridas 13th Congressional District seat, including former U.S. Ambassador Mel Sembler; former U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense and U.S. Secretary of the Navy Gordon England; U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ); U.S. Representative Richard Nugent (R-Spring Hill); former St. Petersburg (MORE)
