Introduction
We begin with the name of Allah Subhana Wa Taala, for all praises are directed to Him alone. We seek His help and ask him to bestow His mercy upon us. We seek refuge in Allah (SWT from the e!ils of this world. Whome!er Allah (SWT guides no one can lead astray and whome!er Allah (SWT leads astray no one can guide. We bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship e"cept for Allah (SWT and that #uhammad (SWT is the final messenger.

What follows is the $%reach of &o!enant' Tafsir of Surah %a(arah) course as presented by Shaykh #ohammed Al*Shareef of the Al*#aghrib +nstitute. This course was taught to ,abeelah -alaah in .dmonton, Alberta on the weekends of #ay /0th and 1une 2th.

Introduction Surah Al-Fatihah is one of the &er3 earliest re&elations and is a ,a44ah &erse >1as re&elaled in ,a44ah?@ InfactA 1e learn fro2 authentic traditions that it 1as the first co2.lete surah re&ealed to the Pro.het >Peace be u.on hi2?@ This Surah is called Al-FatihahD the O.ener of the "oo4A and the Surah 1ith 1hich .ra3ers are begun@ It is the greatest Surah in the /ur6anA and it is also called E22 Al+itab >,other of the "oo4?A because it contains the 2eanings of the entire /ur6an@ It6s Virtues 1?
