I have worked for a company before, but they have never done what IFA is doing for me - ying me out of the country. This will be my rst time overseas. I am so excited, cant wait, says

. . . g n i l l a is c

This is really an exciting time to visit Rio as they are preparing to host three major events, namely: World Youth Day in 2013, the FIFA World Cup in 2014, and the Olympic Games in 2016. IFAs will have the opportunity to witness some of the building taking place as Rio prepares itself for these big events. To some, it will bring memories of our preparations for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Dont you wish you were one of the IFAs going to Rio? If you do, the answer is simple. Start working your IFA business harder and increase your Gijima pace so that your name is among the Incentive Conference qualiers at the 2013 IFA Mass Rally. Make sure you are on the cruise to the Greek Islands in June 2013. IFA rewards in sensational style and has done so for many years already. With our qualiers bags packed and passports in hand, we say bon

Mawanda Dyeshana, battling to contain her excitement. The 11th

and 12th of September 2012 will be two days full of excitement as approximately sixty hardworking IFAs and their partners make their way to the airport to start a journey that will see them landing in Rio de Janeiro, commonly known as Rio. Every year IFA rewards hardworking IFAs with an incentive conference overseas and each year the destination is different. This year will see IFAs networking, discovering and shopping in a city that has a population of close to 6.3 million people, and which was once Brazils capital city for close to two decades. All the IFAs travelling have received their visas, itinerary and Rio booklets which outline all the DOs and DONTs. These IFAs and their partners are now dreaming about what they are going see and do as they explore Rio. Izindaba caught up with Mbukeni Bhengu who is one of the IFAs jetting off to Rio, and he had this to say: I am very happy about the opportunity to y overseas. It is also my rst time on a plane, and Id like to thank IFA for this. There are no words to describe how I am feeling.

voyage to all ying to Rio. We look forward to hearing all about the activities and adventures on their return.

All Action At The

n 25 February 2012 the IFA Gijima Competition kicked off, generating a buzz throughout the IFA network. Halfway through the race IFA rewarded Front Runners and those who have been sprinting towards success Abagijimayo - at the Gijima Midyear Rallies held between 30 June 2012 and 15 July 2012. This followed hot on the heels of IFAs 14th Birthday Premiere three days earlier announcing exciting launches to the IFA network, including the Clientle Funeral Dignity Plan, Gijima Booster and the inclusion of non-South Africans in the IFA network. The Gijima Midyear Rallies focused on applauding those IFAs who have worked hard to claim good spots in the Gijima Competition and especially honouring those who qualied in the Top Three in each province. More importantly it served as great encouragement to those that just managed to qualify for G-3 and G-7. Life changing testimonials, entertainment and great giveaways were all xtures of the Gijima Midyear Rallies. The Front Runners from each of the eight provinces walked away with R5 000, R7 500 and R10 000 respectively. In addition, one lucky IFA from each province received R2 500 in a lucky draw if they had qualied for a G-3 Bonus. Keeping IFAs entertained and inspired throughout were none other than our very own IFA Brand Ambassadors, Lillian Dube and Desmond Dube. IFAs who didnt attend the IFA 14th Birthday Premiere also got to see IFAs brand new presentation track that is designed to invigorate the network with modern visuals and updated message. Joining in the excitement were members of IFA management including Clientle Limited MD Designate, Basil Reekie and IFA Sales and Operations Executive, Young Carr. For those that like to drive as much as they like to run, there are even better prizes in store at the 2013 IFA Mass Rally. Every individual that qualies for G-100, G-200, G-400 and G-800 will be entered into a lucky draw where cars that are worth R120 000, R220 000, R264 000 and a whopping R342 000 are up for grabs. The phrase it aint over, till its over should ring in the ears of all the serious competitors. There are still a number of months left in the Gijima Competition and no places are secure yet. Claim your place, work hard and enjoy reaping the rewards. Gijima!

ITS EVERYONES RACE

Midyear Rallies
KwaZulu-Natal Front Runner
Let other IFAs worry about winning the money in a lucky draw. My team and I have got our sights on the cars. I used my R10 000 prize money to hire a bus that will take members of my team to IFA head ofce in October 2012. By exposing them to how big IFA is I hope to motivate them to work harder. IFA has invested so much in us. The least that we can do is work hard every day to expand our businesses.

Izindaba managed to slow down the Top Front Runners just long enough to hear what they had to say.

Thula Mafoko

Monde Qotywa

Gauteng Front Runner

My team and I call ourselves the Dream Team, we work towards one vision and one purpose. Whether Im number 1 or not, doesnt matter. I am a strong believer in being determined and leading by example. I used the R10 000 I received wisely - to plough back into my business. Im especially proud that my brother, Sizwe Qotywa, who is the third Front Runner, has done so well.

Mokhine Mathabatha
Limpopo Front Runner
I always say to myself that I want to be better than before. I got to the position of Limpopo Front Runner by working with my team and by motivating them. Using the R10 000 that I had won, I bought application forms for the six top members of my team. Im aiming to go beyond what I have achieved previously by qualifying for the top prize in the Gijima Competition.

Kelebogile Potelo

Free State and Northern Cape Front Runner

A couple months ago I barely had money for airtime. I honestly feel so blessed about being the Free State and Northern Cape Front Runner. I want to have as many G-7s in my team as possible. Success is not selsh. I view this as a major opportunity to change my life and other peoples lives. I used my R10 000 winnings to help pay for the funeral of someone that did not have funeral insurance.

Sipho Mnisi

Mpumalanga Front Runner

Im very proud of being the Mpumalanga Front Runner. Id like to thank my entire team. Without them I could never have been who I am today. Im planning to reward them by having a braai in December 2012. They truly are my business partners. Having recently qualied as an accredited IFA Presenter, I am certain that I will make great leaps forward in the Gijima Competition and will be one of the Fast and Furious qualiers (top 5 performers in the Gijima Competition) .

Mercedes Landon

Eastern Cape Front Runner

Id like to see Eastern Cape IFAs drive off with all the cars at the end of the Gijima Competition. That can only be achieved by working together and ensuring that everyone is earning. It felt fantastic to learn that I was Eastern Capes Front Runner. I used that money to buy a much needed laptop and projector to further build up my business.

Ernest Shuping

Western Cape Front Runner

In March 2006, I left my old job and changed the direction of my life by becoming an IFA and started studying towards my dream to be a nurse. I had always wanted to make a difference but never knew how till then. Six years later, I am so proud to be Western Capes Front Runner ahead of IFAs in the Gijima Competition that are much more well-established. When my shift at my hospital ward is done, I am out there talking about IFA because I love it. I am also very so excited about being amongst the IFAs going to Rio for the 2012 IFA Incentive Conference, as a result I am busy practicing my Portuguese. The R10 000 prize I received will come in pretty handy, as I need spending money when I am in Rio!

Danae Schoeman

North West Front Runner

My wife and I will soon be jetting off to a well-deserved holiday in Cape Town nanced by my Gijima Front Runner winnings. I am working hard and I know what I want from life. Being North Wests Front Runner was expected because I am consistent in my approach to the IFA Business Opportunity. Dont make success your enemy. It is not enough to start right, you need to continue on that path. Do not allow arrogance or complacency to set in towards the end goal otherwise your success will be short-lived.

Everything You Need To Know About introducing Non-South African IFas

IFA ACaDEMY
FA Academy provides training to all IFAs across the country. Recently the department launched the IFA Academy Development Club, which is a six week intensive training programme aimed at empowering all IFAs through skills development training. The programme is offered to IFAs from Club 30 upwards and covers the following areas: Working Your Business, Structuring Your Business, Managing Your Business and Leading Your Downline. After a training session which took place in KwaZulu-Natal, Luvuyo Tshwete, had this to say about the IFA Academy Development Club, Attending the IFA Academy Development Club training taught me

ecently

there

have

been

some

very

exciting

developments in the IFA Network. One of the most talked about is the inclusion of non-South Africans

Can a non-South African sign up for IFA outside of SAs borders?

The IFA Business Opportunity is based in South Africa and as such they will not be able to practice as an IFA any place other than South Africa nor will they have insurance cover outside the country if not a resident in SA for a minimum of 9 out of 12 months.

more about my IFA business. I really learnt a lot throughout the six weeks and I never missed a class, thats how dedicated I was. Through this learning programme I really see my business improving and growing from strength to strength. The IFA Academy has given me the bigger picture about the network marketing industry as a whole. Nomination forms are given to IFA Leaders to identify all IFAs who qualify to be on this programme. Once an IFA is nominated and qualies, the IFA Academy will contact the nominated IFA to inform them of the dates and venue where the training will be conducted. If you are an IFA Leader and know of an IFA who can benet from this amazing programme, dont hesitate, send your nomination forms through now.

in the IFA Business Opportunity. This landmark development is a great step in furthering our legacy of empowerment by creating more avenues for people to better their lives. As was expected, while this added a new dimension to the Gijima Competition, it also raised a lot of questions. We hope that the following will provide clarity on some commonly asked questions concerning non-South African IFAs.

Can a non-South African insure someone outside the country?

No, they must be here for 9 out of the last 12 months at the time of death. This is applicable to all dependents on the policy. The beneciary can be outside the country but we will only pay into a SA bank account we will not entertain payments cross-border.

Are all non-South Africans suitable to become IFAs?

Absolutely, it does not matter which part of the world they come from. The only requirement is that they must be in South Africa legally and have a legal permit (work, study, asylum seeker, etc.).

Do non-South African IFAs have the same benets within the IFA Business Opportunity as South African IFAs?
They are treated exactly the same way there is absolutely no difference other than the sign up and tax requirements (see below).

If a non-South African is not tax registered can they still earn their full IFA earnings?
No. The rule is that if they are registered as tax payers here in South Africa, and they provide us with proof of that, then we will pay them the full amount due exactly the same way as we do with South Africans. However, if they cannot provide us with proof we will then have to withhold tax (which we pay over to SARS) and only pay the difference.

How long must non-South African IFAs be in the country before they can claim against their policy?
IFAs must be in the country a minimum of nine months in a year should they wish to initiate a claim. Someone who is six months in the country and six months out of the country can participate in the IFA Business Opportunity, but they will not be covered in the event of a claim. We say 9 out of 12 months because they are most welcome to go home for midyear breaks and still be covered.

e often get asked by IFAs; How do I make a success of my business? Why am I not doing as well as some of my fellow IFAs? To begin answering these two questions, it is important to understand how one would measure a successful IFA business. Although there are a number of detailed measures that can be quoted, the single most important measure would be a sustainable business that will provide revenue over an extended period of time. As your success is important to us at Clientle, we have highlighted a few key focus areas that will assist in making your business work for you.

For Making A Success Of Your Business

2

Increased Activity - Invite!

What happens to non-South African IFAs if they are found guilty of fraud?
Exactly the same as South Africans we part ways. Their IFA contract is cancelled with immediate effect! Should you require any further information or clarity on this subject, please send your query to gsimpson@clientele.co.za.
By Gary Simpson and Christopher Bompas

The more activity you create in an IFA business, the more potential new IFAs are exposed to your business. The more you invite, the more you will introduce. You also need to encourage your downline to apply the same principle. As mentioned, by working as a team, you could increase the activity in your business which will lead to increased earnings. Invite, Invite, Invite!

a wider structure which in turn will provide more sustainable earnings over time.

Manage Lapses

Invest In Your Business

Hooray! Hooray! Its A Holiday

To increase activities and encourage teamwork, you need to invest in your business. There are various ways to do this. Examples include; awarding prizes and assisting with travel arrangements.

One of the key aspects of a sustainable business is minimising the number of key appointments that lapse their policies. Remember, all earnings are dependent on the receipt of premiums. Making sure that your downline understands the importance of paying their insurance premiums, will help ensure the sustainability of your business. They are only covered if premiums are paid.
