The student recalls a memorable event from their third grade Christmas party. A classmate brought a large 36-inch pizza to share. All the students crowded around the pizza delivery person eagerly awaiting to eat. When told they could eat, a frenzied feeding frenzy ensued with students pushing and crowding around the pizza. One student in particular laid on the pizza box continuing to stuff his face with slice after slice, moaning in pain but unable to stop eating, with his shirt and face covered in pizza toppings. It was an unusual sight that stuck with the student.

I will never forget the time when my classmate brought a 36 pizza to the Christmas party when I was grade 3.The fight about it started even before the Christmas party started. As the pizza delivery guy was walking through the hall, majority of my classmates, and even some students from other sections, crowded him. They kept asking him if they could eat it already. He even had a hard time putting the pizza down, since so many people were trying to grab it. It was only until my class advisor told them to back off so that the pizza guy can put it down. My classmates held their positions near the pizza, pushing each other to be closest to the pizza. I didnt completely understand the concept of some things are worth dying for at the time, so I wasnt really paying attention to the food station. But what I really remember was the moment when our teacher said Puwede na kumain. It was slugfest near the pizza. Everyone was crowding the 36 pizza. Bodies were flying. Pizza was flying. Birds were flying. After about 20 minutes, almost everyone was holding their stomachs from overeating. Except for one of my classmates. He was lying down on the pizza box, stuffing his face with pizza. His shirt was stained with cheese. His face was red from the ketchup. He was moaning from stomach pain already , but he never stopped. He just kept eating and eating and eating. It was a very weird sight to behold.
