Parenting Programs
A program for families and caregivers promoting the Mental Health of young children everyday Handle with Care offers activities, games and discussions that help parents & caregivers understand how to promote the mental health of children from birth to age 6. This program runs for 4 weeks starting February 24th from 10-11:30

Join us on Fridays from 9:30-10 am A time for parents or caregivers & children to have fun together through active play, games and healthy snack. Everyone is invited to this drop in program, come join the fun
Join dietitian Heather Mciver on February 20th from 10-11:30am to discuss how to introduce new foods to picky eaters, how to make meal times more pleasant, and make sure your child is getting enough nutrition to grow up healthy. Please register.
Picky Eaters
Make your Monday something to look forward to & take a cooking class. Join us to learn some new healthy recipes. The best part is you get to taste them all. Please register space is limited.
Crockpot Cooking
All parents with babies newborn to 12 months are welcome to attend. This is a time to relax, meet other new parents, and share your challenges and successes. There is childcare available for older siblings.
Baby Club
Wednesday mornings from 10-11:30 no registration required. This is a time for you and your child/children to take part in some fun, music based activities. There will be songs, rhyme, finger plays & instruments. No musical ability required. There will also be time to play and enjoy a snack.
Music
Monday evenings from 4-6 pm. Join us for supper and time to play at the center.
Get together with other grandparents to discuss the joys and challenges of being a grandparent in todays hectic world. There will be coffee, tea and snacks along with opportunity to share experience and some photos and stories about your grandchildren. On the 1st & 3rd Tuesday
Grandparents Group
at the Cavendish Wellness Center we will meet at 9:30 am. It will be held outside weather pending for neighborhood walk. Strollers are available upon request. Everyone welcome !
Stroller Walking
Are you having challenges being on your own while your partner is working out west? Perhaps you have doing this for years and have some tips and suggestions to share with others. On the 2nd & 4th Tuesday
At St Andrews Church, Vernon Bridge on Wednesday from 10-11:30. All children from 0-6 years, including babies, love new experiences and benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through activities at playgroup. No child is too young for playgroup.
Are you a young parent or about to be a parent and looking for a place to make friends with other parents, learn how to care for your newborn and have fun? This group is for you! Lunch provided.
