Emergency Abdominal Surgery

a global surgical research collaboration

...a pan-global network of faculty members, trainees and students

What?
Every year, 234 million surgical operations are performed worldwide. Emergency general surgery is provided by most hospitals worldwide yet great variations in practice exist. In order to identify universally applicable markers of performance, we propose a study conducted by a pan-global network of faculty members, trainees and students.

How?

Contributors at any level are welcome, from medical students to senior professors. No previous experience is needed, and any centre performing bowel resections is eligible to be included in the study. Contribution entails data collection during 14 consecutive days + 30 day follow-up during July 2014 to October 2014.

Pubmed citable authorship available for all contributors!
