The battle of Dunkirk started on the 24th of May,1940. It was the second World War between the Allies and Germany. German army Group B invaded in the Netherlands and went west towards Belgium. On May 26 the Germans were ready to destroy Dunkirk because there were more allied forces there. There were four countries involved France,Poland, The United Kingdom, and Germany. The Dunkirk evacuation also known as Operation Dynamo was the evacuation of allied soldiers from the harbor and beaches of Dunkirk,France. The evacuation was when the British allied forces came to rescue their soldiers stranded on the beach.
