Performed as a mentor and instructor for children from ages 5 to 12. Taught the nuances of the gymnastic
sport, and life lessons such as how to stretch, good exercise habits, and good sportsmanship. Assisted in
the unlocking and locking of the facilities, as well as the set up and take down of the apparatus used.

Served as the SPL of Troop 240 of the Boy Scouts of America for a term of 22 months. Was very
successful in the position, leading a troop of 12-23 boys in various activities, camp outs, and community
services. Increased the size of the troop by double during the term of office, and increased retention rate of
the troops existing scouts. Also served as SPL of Troop D311 to the Boy Scout National Jamboree,
leading the 35 scouts involved through the 13 days of the program.
