Mad Science For 1st-5th Graders (Girls & Boys Welcome!) Science Comes Alive Part I
Discover how Science Comes Alive with Mad Science! Wonder at the marvels of natural science as you explore how bugs defend themselves and how life can survive at the bottom of the sea. See the secrets of sciences impact on the brain in magic tricks and art. The science continues at home with your own magic trick, rainbow tube, sea puzzle and bugeye lens. Hunter Safety
Hunter Safety is offered three times a year - Dave Hovel teaches a class in March and in September/October, while Mike Kosmalski teaches one in conjunction with sumer school. Daves classes fill months in advance, so register early by emailing him at hovel4@comcast.net or 715-262-3615. Registration for the summer school class is done through summer school registration.
Techno-Connections
Join Mad Science as we connect with technology! Experience the basic forces that make technology possible: use Newtons laws to make things move and leverage simple machines to do your work. Explore the world of future technology as you construct a taco battery, and make light from a liquid. Continue your exploration at home with your Inertia Kit, Drag Racer, Crankn Shine Flashlight, and Glow Sheet. After-school Rocket Club For Grades 3-5 (Girls & Boys Welcome!)
In this after-school rocket club, kids will learn about rockets. Aside from seeing various rockets and learning how and why they fly, kids will also build their very own model rocket. As part of the class, each student will be responsible for purchasing a model (approx. $15-$20) from the instructor - once we finalize the number of kids in the class, we will be able to let you know the exact cost of the rockets. Please pack a substantial snack for your kiddo...they are guaranteed to be starving before 5:15pm! Note registration deadline is (one week prior to class). Create Your Own Lip Butter, Body Scrub and Room Spray
For Grades 2+
Join this fun-filled class where youll learn to create your own lip butter, body scrub and room/body spray! Not only will you learn how to make the products, but youll also be able to personalize them by choosing scents and flavors you like, and by decorating the containers youll put them in! Combine your preschoolers natural love of music, storytelling, and imaginative play with activities that introduce early music concepts and foster independence, social and emotional skills, language growth, and self-control. Connect with other parents who share in the wonder of parenting a preschooler. Parents join class for the last 10 minutes weekly. The fun and learning continues with the easy to use and downloadable home materials which include music from class, musical activities, and each months story. Home materials are required for the cost of $10.
