M$ Brothers and !isters- As all Muslims ,no% the act that %hen %e read the /ur#an !hareef and %hen %e come across an Aa$at e !a0dah it#s %aa0ib for us to perform a !a0dah* "his is also called !a0dah e "ilaa%at* As reported b$ Hazrat Abu Hurairah Radi Allahu "a#ala Anhu&, !a$$idinah Rasoolullah !allal Laahu "a#ala Ala$hi %a !allam& said that %hen the children of Hazrat Adam Ala$his !alaam& read the 1erses of !a0dah and the$ prostrate, sha$taan moves a%a$ from that place and %hile cr$ing he sa$s2 3AlasMisfortune upon me* "he children of Adam Ala$his !alaam& have been ordered to prostrate and the$ obe$2 for them is Paradise* I %as ordered to prostrate but I disobe$ed2 for me is Hell*3 Hadith Muslim !hareef and Ibn Ma0ah& 'abi e 4areem !allal Laahu "a#ala Ala$hi %a !allam& had the habit of performing !a0dah %hen He reached A$at e !a0dah* "here are 56 places in the /ur#an !hareef %here %e have !a0dah e "ilaa%at* "he 1irtues of !a0dah Prostration& are so numerous that %e cannot mention all in a small boo,let* +rom !a$$idinah Adam Ala$his !alaam& to !a$$idinah Rasoolullah !allal Laahu "a#ala Ala$hi %a !allam& the common form of 'amaz %as !a0dah7 the other forms of Ibaadat li,e /a$aam, Ru,u and /aidah ma$ had differences but regarding !a0dah, all other Prophets and Angels Ala$himus !alaam& and !aaliheen Pious& used to perform !a0dah for Allah !ubhanahu %a "a#ala* Huzoor e Akram (Sallal Laahu Ta'ala Alayhi wa Sallam) has said that when a sla e (human) !erforms Sajdah" he is ery #lose to Allah Su$hanahu wa Ta'ala and Allah Su$hanahu wa Ta'ala is ery ha!!y when his ser ant !rostrates his forehead and his nose tou#hin% the %round as a si%n of su$mission and humility $efore the &reatness of His 'aster (Su$haanahu wa Ta'ala) ( as if human re#o%nize that he is nothin% $efore the &lory and &reatness of Allah Su$hanahu wa Ta'ala) "he Recompense of !a0dah as described b$ Allama I8bal Rahmatullahi "a#ala Ala$&2 9ith one !a0dah that man feels hard to perform for Allah "a#ala& he is relieved from all sorts of humiliation and all that he %ill have to suffer if he has to bo% before his ali,es* . M$ Brothers and !isters- 9hether it is !a0dah in 'amaz, !a0dah "ilaa%at or !a0dah for than,sgiving to Allah !ubhanahu %a "a#ala, each has its o%n value, its greatness, its virtue and its specific recompense* "oda$, as all sorts of problems crush man either in his material life or his religious life, %e %ish to give $ou a 9azifah %hich is a great means b$ the :race of Allah !ubhanahu %a "a#ala to liberate $ou from difficult situations, to give $ou Peace and !ecurit$* Hazrat Muhammad Ameen Ibn Abideen Radi Allahu "a#ala Anhu&, a (escendant of Imam ;ain ul Abideen Radi Allahu "a#ala Anhu&, %rote a boo, on +i8he Hanafi, an authorized %or, and %ell ,no%n as #Raddul Mu,htar3 < published b$ Al Ma,taba Atti0aari$ah Ma,,a in !audi Arabia in 1ol* =, page 55>& %here he said2 "If a Muslim reads only the Ayaat e Sajdah once and after every Aayat he performes Sajdah immediately, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will make him successful in his aim !hether it is

sufferance, personal or familial problems, with whichever intention one performs Sajdah in Tilaawat Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala will certainly help and liberate him in a manner that one cannot ima"ine " .nce again, %e remind $ou that concerning !piritual securit$ or Material progress, the Help of Allah !ubhanahu %a "a#ala is sufficient %hen $ou proceed b$ the e?plained method* In "afsir Ruhul Ba$an it is mentioned that %hen a person reads Aa$at e !a0dah and performs !a0dah then as,s (uas, Allah Almight$ b$ His Po%er %ill raise the honor of that person in this %orld and as per his intention Allah Almight$ %ill help him in a %a$ he can#t imagine* If one is facing hardship he must read this 9azifa for 56 da$s continuousl$, Inshah Allah he %ill see ho% Allah Almight$ helps him* Apart from this one can read this 9azifa ever$ da$, ever$ %ee, or ever$ month* @ven %hen performing Ha0, Iti,aaf and on Auspicious Blessed 'ights* "here are numerous virtues in this 9azifa for $our material and spiritual securit$7 $ou %ill taste them Inshah Allah- And $ou %ill see the effects* *ormally when doin% Tilaawat e +ur'an we say Allahu Ak$ar and stand u! with the intention of makin% Sajdah e Tilawat (without raisin% the hand u! to the ears) u!on rea#hin% an Aayat e Sajdah) We then %o down in !rostration and read , times Su$haana Ra$$iyal Alaa) After that we say Allahu Ak$ar and stand u!" then sit $a#k a%ain to resume Tilaawat e +ur'an Shareef) -or Wazifah Aayat e Sajdah it is !erformed in the sittin% !osition and the #ondition is the same as in *amaaz" i)e with Wuzu and fa#e towards +i$lah (.aa$ah Shareef)) -irst/ Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem, Se#ond/ Aa$at e !a0dah, Third/ Its appropriate dua, -ourth/ Perform !a0dah and read A times !ubhaana Rabbi$al Alaa, +ifth2 Rise from !a0dah and read another dua**********the same procedure must be repeated till 56 !u0oods plural of sa0dah& are performed* . 1st Sajdah

Transliteration: In-nal-laziina 'Inda rab-bika laa yastakbiruuna 'An 'Ibaadatihii wa yusabbiHuunahuu wa lahuu yasjuduun Translation: Indeed those who are with your Lord are not conceited towards worshipping Him, and they (the Angels) proclaim His Purity and it is to Him they prostrate. (Surah Al Aa ra! ", #erse $%&) Read this Dua: O Allah! We too are not conceited and our belief is that besides You none is worthy of praise and prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! Make me become like those who prostrate with sincerity and make me low in my own view and hi h in other people!s view.

2nd Sajdah

Transliteration: Wa lil-laahi yasjudu man fis samaawaati wal arD Taw'Aw wa karhaw wa Zilaaluhum bil huduw-wi wal aaSaal

Translati!n" And to Allah only prostrate all those who are in the hea'ens and in the earth, willingly or helplessly ( and their shadows ( e'ery morning and e'ening. (Surah Al )ad *+, #erse *,) Read this Dua: O Allah! You are my "ord and that of the universe. We are bowin to You with our faith because You alone deserves prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! # am askin You to uide me on the strai ht path$ rant me piety and purity and that # may not be dependent on anyone.

Transliteration: Wa lil-laahi yasjudu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil arDi min daab-batiw wal malaaikatu wa hum laa yastakbiruun And to Allah only prostrates whatsoe'er is in the hea'ens and whatsoe'er mo'es in the earth, and the angels ( and they are not proud. (Surah An -ahl *&, #erse ./)

Transliteration: $akhaafuuna rab-bahum min faw%ihim wa yaf'Aluuna maa yu'maruun Translation: They 0ear upon themsel'es the !ear o! their Lord, and do only what they are commanded. (Surah An -ahl *&, #erse ,%)

Read this Dua: O Allah! We too are prostratin like Your creatures who are prostratin before You and You alone deserves prostration. %rostrate and read & times' Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! On what can # take pride when # depend on You. O Allah! Make my inside better than my appearance and make me well disciplined with piety. O

Transliteration: 'ul aaminuu bihii aw laa tu'minuu( in-nal-laziina uutul 'Ilma min %ablihii izaa yutlaa 'Alayhim yakhir-ruuna lil az%aani suj-jadaa Translation: 1Proclaim, 223hether you accept !aith in it or not224 indeed those who recei'ed 5nowledge 0e!ore the 6ur7an came, !all down prostrate on their !aces when it is recited to them. 2 (Surah 8ani Israail *", #erse *%")

Transliteration: Wa ya%uuluuna subHaana rab-binaa in kaana wa'du rab-binaa la maf'))laa Translation: 1And they say, 22Purity is to our Lord ( indeed the promise o! our Lord had to come true.22 1(Surah 8ani Israail *", #erse *%9)

Transliteration: Wa yakhir-ruuna lil az%aani yabkuuna wa yaziiduhum khushuu'AA

Translation: And they !all down on their !aces weeping, and this 6ur7an increases their humility. (Surah 8ani Israail *", #erse *%/) Read this Dua: O Allah! We too are prostratin before You like those people who have that knowled e to reco ni)e You because besides You none is worthy of prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! *rant me protection from that education which is not profitable for me$ from that heart in which there!s no fear for You and from those prayers which are not acceptable.

Transliteration: )laaikal-laziina an'Amal-laahu 'Alayhim minan nabiy-yiyna min zur-riy-yati aadama wa mim-man Hamalnaa ma'A nuuHiw wa min zur-riy-yati ibraahiyma wa israaiila wa mim-man hadaynaa wajtabaynaa izaa tutlaa 'Alayhim aayaatur raHmaani khar-ruu sujjadaw wa bukiy-yaa Translation: It is these upon whom Allah has 0estowed !a'our among the Prophets, !rom the descendants o! Adam4 and !rom those whom 3e 0oarded along with -ooh4 and !rom the descendants o! I0rahim and Israel4 and !rom those whom 3e guided and chose4 when the 'erses o! the :ost ;racious were recited to them, they !ell down, prostrating and weeping. (Surah :aryam */, #erse ,9)

Read this Dua: O Allah! "ike those who have received Your favor to prostrate before You$ we the be ars of Your blessin s too are prostratin before You. (esides You none is worthy of prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! Accept us amon those who have received your favors. Ya Waa+ido! Ya Maa+ido! ,on!t take back the favors which You have ranted me.

Transliteration: Alam tara an-nal-laaha yasjudu lahuu man fis samaawaati wa man fil arDi wash shamsu wal %amaru wan nujuumu wal jibaalu wash shajaru wad dawaab-bu wa kathirum minan naas wa kathiyrun Ha%-%a 'Alayhil 'Adhaab wa may yuhinil-laahu fa maa lahuu mim mukrim in-nal-laaha yaf'Alu maa yashaa' Translation: <id you not see that !or Allah prostrate those who are in the hea'ens and in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the 0easts, and many among man5ind4 and there are many upon whom the punishment has 0een decreed4 and

he whom Allah disgraces ( there is none to gi'e him honour4 indeed Allah may do whate'er He wills. (Surah Al Ha= $$, #erse *9) Read this Dua: O Allah! We have belief that all that You have created in the skies and the earth prostrate before You$ we too bow before You because besides You none is worthy of prostration. Transliteration: Al-ladhiy khala%as samaawaati wal arDa wa maa baynahumaa fi sit-tati ayyaamin thum-mastawaa 'Alal 'Arsh ar-raHmaanu fas-al bihii khabiiraa Translation: The >ne 3ho created the hea'ens and the earth and all that is 0etween them in si? days, then 0e!itting His :a=esty, esta0lished Himsel! upon the Throne (o! control)4 the :ost ;racious ( there!ore as5 the one who 5nows, concerning Him@ (Surah Al AurBan $,, #erse ,/)

Transliteration: Wa izaa %iila lahumusjuduu lir raHmaani %aaluu wa mar raHmaanu a nasjudu limaa ta'murunaa wa zaadahum nufuuraa Translation: And when it is said to them, 2Prostrate to the :ost ;racious2 ( they say, 2And what is the :ost ;raciousC Shall we prostrate to whate'er you command usC2 And this command only increases the hatred in them.(Surah Al AurBan $,, #erse &%) Read this Dua: O Allah! We have received the command to prostrate before You and we are prostratin before You because besides You none is worthy of prostration. Transliteration: Wajattuhaa wa %awmahaa yasjuduuna lish shamsi min duunil-laahi wa zayyana lahumush shayTaanu a'maalahum fa Sad-dahum 'Anis sabiyli fahum laa yahtaduun Translation: 1I !ound her and her nation prostrating 0e!ore the sun instead o! Allah, and Satan has made their deeds seem good to them there0y pre'enting them !rom the Straight Path ( so they do not attain guidance.D (Surah Al -aml $", #erse $.)

Transliteration: Al-laa yasjuduu lil-laahil-lazii yukhrijul khab'a fiys samaawaati wal arDi wa ya'lamu maa tukhfuuna wa maa tu'linuun Translation: 13hy do they not prostrate to Allah, 3ho 0rings !orth the things hidden in the hea'ens and the earth, and 5nows all what you hide and all what you discloseCD (Surah Al -aml $", #erse $,)

Transliteration: Al-laahu laa ilaaha il-laa huwa rab-bul 'Arshil 'AZiym Translation: 1Allah ( there is no True ;od e?cept Him, the >wner o! the ;reat Throne.D (Surah Al -aml $", #erse $&) Read this Dua: O Allah! #t doesn!t matter how much shaytaan seduce to deviate us from the ri ht path but we$ by Your blessin s$ are prostratin before You only because besides You none is worthy of prostration. Transliteration: In-namaa yu'minu bi aayaatinal-laziina izaa zuk-kiruu bihaa khar-ruu sujjadaw wa sab-baHuu bi Hamdi rab-bihim wa hum laa yastakbiruun

Translation: >nly those 0elie'e in >ur signs who, when they are reminded o! them, !all down in prostration and proclaim the Purity o! their Lord while praising Him, and are not conceited. Transliteration: Wa Zan-na daawuudu an-namaa fatan-naahu fasta fara rab-bahuu wa kharra raaki'Aw wa anaab Translation: Thereupon <awud realised that 3e had tested him, so he sought !orgi'eness !rom his Lord, and !ell prostrate and inclined (towards his Lord). (Surah Saad +9, #erse $.) Read this Dua: O Allah! We are too weak for You to test us. We know our weakness and due to this we ask for iveness from You and prostrate before You because You alone deserves prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! Your for iveness surpasses my sins and # have more hope on Your blessin s than my deeds.

11th Sajdah

Transliteration: 0ainistakbaruu fal-laziina 'Inda rab-bika yusab-biHuuna lahuu bil layli wan nahaari wa hum laa yas-amuun Translation: So i! these (dis0elie'ers) 0e haughty, so (in any case) those (the angels) who are with your Lord say His Purity night and day, and they do not get weary. (Surah Ha :eem Sa=dah .*, #erse +9) Read this Dua: O Allah! With +oyful heart we are prostratin before You and we are praisin You because You alone deserves prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! %rotect me from worries$ sadness$ weakness$ small heartedness$ avarice$ debt and from people!s pressure.

12th Sajdah

Transliteration: 0asjuduu lil-laahi wa'buduu Translation: There!ore prostrate !or Allah, and worship Him. (Surah Al -a=m ,+, #erse &$) Read this Dua: O Allah! We are prostratin and worshipin only for You because besides You none is worthy of prostration. Prostrate and read 3 times: Subhaana Rabbiyal Alaa Sit and read this Dua: O Allah! %urify my heart from hypocrisy$ purify my action from ostentation 1show up2$ and purify my mouth from lies and my eyes from dishonesty.

Transliteration: Wa izza %urya 'Alayhimul 'ur'anu laa yasjuduun Translation: And when the 6ur7an is recited to them, they do not !all prostrateC (Surah Al InshiBaB 9., #erse $*) Read this Dua: O Allah! We are weak but we are your obedient servant. When we read the /ur!an Shareef we prostrate before You on Your order because You alone deserves prostration. We are askin for Your protection a ainst infidelity$ a ainst polytheism$ a ainst hypocrisy$ a ainst creatin division$ a ainst immorality$ a ainst pride$ a ainst the burden of poverty$ a ainst the lack of food$ a ainst destitution$ a ainst dishonor$ a ainst evil diseases and evil death. O Allah! %rotect me from people!s mockery$ humiliation from enemies$ the effects of +ealousy$ de+ectedness$ the effect of losers and from misfortune. O Allah!
