Suggs, S. (2013). Information and decision making. Unpublished undergraduate research, Gwynedd Mercy College, Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania.

Presented at the SEPCHE Honors Conference

The purpose of my study was to examine how information affects healthy decision making. To examine this issue, 60 participants took a brief survey of 10 questions. The surveys were split into three groups of twenty for a negative, positive, and neutral short article about chicken. Results indicated that that people are willing to make positive healthy decisions when reading the positive article, less positive healthy decisions when reading the negative article, and remained in the middle about healthy decisions with the neutral decision. The information of positive healthy decision making is consistent with previous research finding that information can affect the decision making process.
