SHOW CAUSE LETTER

Ridhesh Palan
S.Y.B.M.S.
Roll No: 63.
To,
Respected Committee Members,
K. J. Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce and University of Mumbai,
Unfair Means Inquiry Committee.

I accept that I used unfair means at the examination of S.Y.B.M.S. in the subject of
Marketing on 03-10-2013.
I am extremely sorry for the malpractice committed by me. I understand that no particular
reason can justify a case of cheating. Hence, I would like to beg your pardon this once.
Since I was unwell a day prior to the exam, it was the fear of failure that led me to this
extreme step. Yet, I have understood that such an extreme step should not have been taken
by me.
I sincerely request the committee to forgive me this one instance, with the self-assurance
and guarantee that I would never again take the help of any kind of malpractices or unfair
means towards my educational career.
I apologize again and request the committee members to not initiate any disciplinary action
against me. I understand that it can ruin my career, and I, hereby, promise that I would never
again repeat my mistake.
Please do forgive me as I believe, that this was the first and the last time I resorted to using
unfair means. I have learnt my lesson and humbly beg you to let me continue my education,
which I would like to complete with all honesty henceforth.
