Scientists take stem cells from an aborted foetus for their research !s this acce"table#
In our days, cloning is a phenomenon that occurs naturally in a wide variety of species. Often, scientists take stem cells from an aborted foetus for their research. Of course, all this is not very good but with genetic engineering, scientists will be able to eliminate some diseases and create healthier people. Fetal stem cell research may ethically resemble either adult or embryonic stem cell research and must be evaluated accordingly. If fetal stem cells are obtained from miscarried or stillborn fetuses, or if it is possible to remove them from fetuses still alive in the womb without harming the fetuses, then no harm is done to the donor and such fetal stem cell research is ethical. However, if the abortion of fetuses is the means by which fetal stem cells are obtained, then an unethical means - the killing of human beings - is involved. Since umbilical cords are detached from infants at birth, umbilical cord blood is an ethical source of stem cells. Human cloning remains a scientific miracle and while we have successfully cloned animals, we must at the same time, focus on the fact that on the other hand we are constantly abusing nature. othing can save us from e!tinction if we destroy what we have, even if we think of regeneration through the miracle of science. It is thus more important to channeli"e our energies and resources into benefiting the human society. aturally, I find human cloning an e!citing development. Science should be allowed, and even encouraged, to develop at all costs. If there are dangers, these are simply the price we have to pay for progress, but progress cannot be stopped. #e should all live in the present and look to the future.

I consider all anti-cloning views old-fashioned and inappropriate. $he potential for curing human disease with the help of therapeutic cloning is enormous. It can allow thousands of lives to be saved from cloning human cells, tissues, and even organs. $herapeutic cloning can provide treatment for %l"heimer&s, diabetes, heart disease and 'arkinson&s. $herefore I believe in human cloning.
