Slide 1 Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease remains a health problem in the world, especially Indonesia.

Indonesia contributes more than 50% of all cases of TB world. The prevalence of TB in Indonesia ranks third, after China and India. Based on Global Tuberculosis Control 2009, noted that the prevalence of of TB at 583.000 new cases/year, and 140.000 death/year. TB problem the world is now greater than ever. One of the cause is because there is a relationship between TB infection with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). HIV infection causes a more rapid progression to TB disease, increases the likelihood of a difficult clinical manifestations such as extrapulmonary TB and Immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) and increase the incidence of TB management failures. One of the complications in the treatment of tuberculosis is drug induced hepatotoxicity. It caused by the first-line anti TB drugs such as INH, rifampicin and pyrazinamide, and this is a serious challenge in dealing with the TB treatment. The mechanism of antituberculosis hepatotoxicity still unknown. Antituberculosis Hepatotoxicity usually occurs within the first 2 months of treatment. The incidence of hepatotoxicity varies. The incidence in developing countries is higher (8-39%) compared with advanced countries (3-4%). This study aims to describe the incidence of anti-tuberculosis hepatotoxicity in tuberculosis patients with and without HIV infection in clinic DOTS Dr.Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung. Slide 3 Hepatotoxicity according to WHO criteria divide into 4 stage. Stage 1 increase ALT < 2,5 x ULN (ALT 51125 U/L). Stage 2 increase ALT 2,5 5 X ULN (ALT 126-250 U/L). Stage 3 increase ALT 5 10 X ULN (ALT 251-500 U/L). Stage 4 increase ALT > 10 X ULN (ALT > 500 U/L). Slide 4 Retrospective studies was conducted to patients with and without HIV co-infection who received antituberculosis treatment at DOTS clinic Dr.Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung during period January to June 2012.
