INT. CHRIS'S BEDROOM - NIGHT CHARLIE and CHRIS are mindlessly playing a video game on their game console, their faces blank, without expression, their mouths agape. CHARLIE Did you hear about Jenny's party? CHRIS No. CHARLIE I heard it was crazy...I didn't go because...you know my parents didn't let me. CHRIS (scoffing at him) Yeah SCOTT enters the room, he looks giddy with excitement, he makes a little twirl. SCOTT Heyooo what's up guys... Chris and Charlie turn their attention to Scott. SCOTT (beat) I just got invited to a crazy party, it's going to be crazy...bitches everywhere. CHRIS Seriously? how? SCOTT What do you mean? CHRIS How did you get invited to a party? SCOTT You know...I used my connections CHRIS What connections? SCOTT Fine...it's my cousins graduation party...

CHRIS That's what I thought. SCOTT Well it makes no difference, because it's going to be crazy, girls, dru... CHARLIE (interrupting) I think I'm going to pass guys. CHRIS Why? CHARLIE Eh...you know my parents and... SCOTT (interrupting) No you're coming, get up we got to go right now, we're already late. CHARLIE Yeah but I... SCOTT Okay...we got to get going, we're really late also I need to buy something on the way. INT. CAR - MOMENTS LATER Scott's in the drivers seat, Chris in the passenger seat and Charlie in the middle back. The car pulls up to park in a shady part of town. CHARLIE What are we doing here? CHRIS Seriously, this place looks shady, what are we doing here? SCOTT I'll be right back alright... Scott exits the car to go into the building they're parked right next to. We get long shot view of the car, as we do, a shady figure passes by the camera. Charlie and Chris turn their attention to the figure, having SCOTT Why?

no idea what it is. CHARLIE What the fuck was that? We get the same camera view but an inverse angle, another shady figure passes. CHRIS What?...is...is that a crack head? CHARLIE We should really get out of here Charlie moves up to the drivers seat to drive out of the neighborhood, just as he does Scott comes back, Charlie moves back in his seat. CHARLIE(TO SCOTT) What are we here for? SCOTT My guy told me he was going to meet me in that building but he's not there. Scott gets his phone out to call his guy. EXT. CAR - CONTINUOUS We get a POV shot of the figure, it's walking towards the car as the three are arguing. INT. CAR - CONTINUOUS The figure gets to the car, it shows up like Michael Myers would. The three jump out of their seats out of fear. The figure reveals itself as T-Dog, Scott's drug dealer. SCOTT Oh shit, you scared us, T-Dog. CHRIS Not because you're black or anything though. CHARLIE Yeah, we're not racist at all... you just came out of nowhere.. T-Dog nods, he gives a sign telling Scott to roll the window down.

SCOTT Alright I'll roll it down... Scott is hesitant to do so, he rolls the window down by 3 inches, scared that that's too much he rolls it back up to an inch. He gives T-Dog a 20$ bill, T-Dog gives Scott a bag of weed. The two nod in agreement, T-Dog leaves. CHRIS Well that went a lot smoother than I expected. A gunshot is heard in the distance, the three once again jump out of their seats, the car accelerates as quickly as possible, they leave the neighborhood. EXT. HOUSE - MOMENTS LATER The car is parked across the street of a house with balloons tied to the mail box. About 7 different cars are parked in the driveway. INT. CAR - MOMENTS LATER Once again Scott's in the driver seat, Chris' in the passenger seat and Charlie's in the middle back seat. All three are visibly anxious. Scott is fiddling with a water bottle, trying to stab it with a pen in an attempt to make a makeshift bong. CHARLIE Guys what are we doing here? This really isn't our scene, we should just go home and chill CHRIS (mockingly) Oh this isn't your scene huh? (beat) Just thirty minutes ago you couldn't stop talking about how you would have gone to Jenny's party if it wasn't for your parents. CHARLIE But I know Jenny... CHRIS (interrupting) You don't know her...Every single (MORE)

5 CHRIS (CONT'D) class you have with her, you stare at her from afar, and when you finally work up the courage to talk to her she walks away from you mid sentence. Scott, still working on his makeshift bong is getting irritated as the two start to fight. SCOTT Guys maybe this isn't the time to have this... CHARLIE (interrupting) What are you talking about? CHRIS You got to stop making up stories Charlie. Scott has himself a moment of eureka as he finally finishes making his makeshift bong. SCOTT Guys I finally got it. CHARLIE(TO CHRIS) (interrupting) Shut up! When was the last time... SCOTT (yelling at the top of his lungs) Guys! Guys! Charlie and Chris stop arguing and turn their attention to Scott. (beat) This isn't the time to have this conversation. (beat) We grew up together...and we grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watching you guys, every day was like a privilege. Then the time came for us to be our own men and take on the world, and we did. But somewhere along the line, we changed. We stopped being us. We let people stick a finger in our face and tell us we're no good. And (MORE)

when things got hard, we started looking for something to blame, like a big shadow. Let me tell you guys something we already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. CHRIS (interrupting) What are you doing? Are you doing Rocky again? Don't do that. SCOTT Wha..? That was...no... CHARLIE Seriously scott we don't have time for that. SCOTT Whatever...Let's take some hits from the bong, I'm nervous as shit maybe it'll help us... Scott lights up his bong with a match... EXT. CAR - MOMENTS LATER The three get out of the car, they look disheveled and high as a kite, their eyes the color of a baboons ass and droopy. Scott and Chris follow the camera, as they walk towards the house party. CHRIS (slurring his words) Scott I gotta got to say, I feel way better now...This is going to be a night to remember. SCOTT (slurring) I told you it would help...How are you feeling Charles? (beat) Charlie? The two look back to see Charlie, passed out, cheek on

pavement, right next to the car. SCOTT Oh shit...let's pick him up... CHRIS No...let's not...we're already halfway there and I'm like super ready. SCOTT Yeah, my body is so ready. EXT. HOUSE - CONTINUOUS Chris and Scott knock on the door, preparing for what they imagine to be the night of their lives, looking high as a kite. The door is opened by a middle aged WOMAN dressed nicely for an evening with family. She looks at the two in confusion, the two look back with a mutual feel. WOMAN Can I...help you guys? The two just stand there, Charlie can be seen in the background. SCOTT Ahhh... WOMAN Oh...you're Adam's cousin...he said you'd come. Scott and Chris are still unable to make out a word, they're standing there mouth agape in confusion. WOMAN (hesitant) Well then...come in. We follow the two as they enter the house, in which there is a graduation party for Adam, Scott's cousin, the entire family is in the living room celebrating. Graduation decorations are all over the living room. Chris and Scott sit on the couch, violently high, as the family celebrates. FADE OUT.
