. Uncountables- Things that cannot be counted Rice, flour, sand, bubbles, oil, water, ink, etc. A and an used for countables only. A is used for countables starting with a consonant alphabet. E.g- a book, a table, a car,etc An is used for countables starting with a vowel alphabet. E.g an apple, an aeroplane, an orange, an hour, an honest boy, an honourable judge.
