PURDUE CHAPTER

GCC Purdue Chapter AdvisorMike Cassidy

Continuing Lecturer Certificate in Entrepreneurship Program

I am an entrepreneur with over 30 years experience as a CEO, owner or founding shareholder of three successful businesses. In addition, I serve as a Continuing Lecturer in the Purdue University Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program where I teach the introductory course. When I was asked by two former students, organization President Yuqing Wang and VP- Internal Yuqing Sun, to become an advisor to GCC, I first investigated the GCC mission. I was very pleased to learn that it is not only very right for our times, but it also provides Purdue students from all nations the opportunity to work together in forging the future course of the world! These two capable young women head a group of other capable and dedicated students in leading the GCC in accomplishing its mission. They do this through many relevant activities highlighted by the Annual Conference. The Conference offers an inspirational address by an appropriate thought leader that provides greater understanding of the world around us and guidance on how we can each contribute to greater understanding and growth. At the Conference there are also many interesting discussion panels headed by leading scholars. The Global China Connection also offers many other activities during the year. Highlights of these include agricultural and industrial field trips, social events and cultural activities. These offer unique opportunities for personal and professional development and are always fun! If you are not already a member, please consider joining the GCC and bringing your voice into an organization that can change the world!
