Criteria
Readibility - words are easy to understand. - easy vocabulary and simple phrases. Suitability - suitable for year 6 pupils in terms of content. (simple poem about a poem) Exploitabiliy - can be taught in many ways.
Purposes
Personal - interpersonal (stubbornness, curiosity, eagerness, desires) - intrapersonal (between teacher and the pupils when teacher reads in instructional form) Aesthetic -engaging ;sparks interest in the pupils through the way the poem is written. Cultural -No cultural issues touched on Language Learning - Simple, straight-forward and instructional in form Moral Values -No moral values present in the poem
Techniques
The most appropriate and effective technique which can be used to teach this poem is through jazz chanting.
Learners Level
Year 6 students of Intermediate level New words can be introduced: frail and amigo
Cultural Considerations
The poem is very general and is acceptable in many means.
