Applying Psychological Theory to a "Hot Topic" in Child Development

Instructions: 1. Form your own groups 2. Task: In your group, discuss and apply the psychological theories that you have learned to the "hot topic" you have chosen. Discuss and analyze the topic in general or narrow it down by creating a story relating to the hot topic. The story should be as interesting as possible!

3. Choose a hot topic (pairing topic and theory-first come first serve) Child Academic Stress Child Aggression Child committing crime - sexual convicts Child Abuse Child Neglect

4. Theories that you can choose from: Freud's Psychosexual Stages Operant Conditioning Social Modeling Vygotsky's Sociocultural Theory Ecological Systems Theory

5. The group should present to the class (5 min each group)
