    Unit: 4.15 Materials:

    Date: Jan. 30 & 31st

    Key Lesson Points: Day 1 Have students come up with a joining or take-away story. While students tell story write down the numbers on a sheet of a paper. Ask other students in the group if the story was a joining or take-away story. Then ask them the answer. Day 2 Read a joining/take-away story. Ask students if there is a short way to write the story. With help, have students write the story using numbers. Ask students if they know what the symbols mean. Repeat with 2 more stories
