I have known Julianne in her capacity as an education student at the University of Mount Union and have found her to be a dedicated learner with a keen interest in the education profession. Julianne has completed a wide array of education classes focusing on the diverse needs of early learners. As a dual license candidate, her coursework encompassed content and pedagogy for typically developing children as well as children with disabilities. She has earned exceptional grades, demonstrating mastery of course content. Julianne has also participated in various field placements and student teaching experiences allowing her the opportunity to skillfully apply theory and content to practical, real-life teaching endeavors involving a wide variety of children with differing ages, abilities, and learning needs. These experiences provided her with the opportunity to practice explicit instruction as well as a mix of co-teaching and consultation designed to support at-risk learners and students with disabilities in inclusive settings. In addition to her studies, Julianne is an active member of several campus organizations and has served in various leadership roles. She is currently a member of the Track and Field Team, Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity, and Student National Education Association (SNEA). Julianne also served as CoPresident for Kappa Delta Pi, an education honorary group. Juliannes commitment to service and willingness to take on leadership roles speaks highly of her character and potential as a future educator. Julianne has a number of strengths to offer the field of education. She is a caring person with an obvious love for children and learning. She is an organized and focused individual who strives for excellence in all that she does, both in and out of the classroom.
